This Privacy Policy explains how Lopez Digital Studio (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit lopezdigitalstudio.com (the “Site”), contact us, or buy our services. We're a small web design studio based in New Mexico, USA, operated as a sole proprietorship.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, business name (optional), email address and/or phone number, the service you're interested in, and your message.
- Purchases: when you check out, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. We receive your name, email, billing details, and what you bought, but we never see or store your full card number.
- Project materials: text, images, logos, logins, or other content you send us to build or maintain your website.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and to keep the Site running.
- Your cart: items you add to the cart are saved in your own browser (local storage) so they're still there if you come back. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us until you check out.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services, and we don't track you across other websites.
How we use your information
- To reply to your messages and provide quotes.
- To process payments, deliver the services you buy, and manage maintenance subscriptions.
- To send receipts and service-related messages (for example, renewal reminders or failed-payment notices sent through Stripe).
- To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We don't send marketing emails unless you ask us to.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Stripe: payments, receipts, and subscription management (Stripe Privacy Policy).
- Netlify: website hosting and contact-form storage (Netlify Privacy Policy).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form messages and project records for as long as needed to work with you and for a reasonable time afterward. Payment and tax records are kept as long as the law requires (often several years). You can ask us to delete information we don't need to keep.
Security
The Site uses HTTPS encryption, and payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-certified payment processor. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Call us at (575) 288-0489 or send a message through our contact form. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under state law. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Customers with a maintenance plan can update their billing details or cancel anytime in our customer portal.
Children
The Site and our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective” date above shows when it last changed.
